Our sloe gin also brought home an award at last weeks IWSC competition. Scoring 88 out of 100 points in total we won a bronze medal in the sloe gin category.
Here is what the judges had to say “Honeyed orange nose with a good balance of sweetness and acidity. Subtle red fruit characters.”
It is great to receive such positive feedback from the judging panel! There is obviously room for improvement and we have already planned a few tweaks to our maceration recipe for batch 3 which will be be laid down once the sloe berries are ready to be picked this September.
