It’s that time of year again where we ask you to help out with our sloe berry harvest so we can make more sloe gin for next years release.
Most sloes should be ripe for picking now, but just make sure they are a deep purple colour with a soft bounce to them. The berries must be free of twigs/stems/leaves etc and please wash them before bagging. If you fill the sink with water and empty the sloes into the water, you can discard any that float and any bugs should be washed off.
If you can deliver them frozen to us then that would be amazing, but please only freeze them if they have been fully cleaned and washed beforehand. Otherwise we cannot accept them.
Our distillery will be accepting sloe berry drop offs on WEDNESDAY 28TH & FRIDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 11AM-4PM.
5kg will get you a full sized bottle of gin with 2.5kg a half bottle.
